Complete Disassembly of Playfield

All parts are being stripped from playfield. Parts from its upper & lower sides are removed. this includes: bulbs, posts, bumpers, ball guides, flipper assy's, ramps, targets, electronic boards and more. this process is very time consuming but its necessary and the only way to restore a playfield to a like new condition.

Cleaning, Polish, Wax

I clean every centimeter on the playfield. first I use Novus non water based to get rid of all the dirt, moving to polishing the playfield with Diamond Bright and finally a coat of Kit Carnauba Wax that gives the playfield a nice shine & increases ball speed.

Cleaning Playfield Parts
(Time: 4 Hours)

Every part from the playfield is manually cleaned to removed dust, dirt, oil and fat. Most games have suffered from years of neglecting and untrained maintenance therefore all broken or damaged parts are replaced.

	Plastic posts are cleaned with toothbrush and soap to remove dirt. broken or chipped posts are replaced.
	Metal parts are manually cleaned with steel wool to remove ball marks, then coated with metal polish to restore new look.
	All plastic decals are cleaned with soap and water, then polished by Novus. Warped plastics are straightened flat using the heat gun method.

Cleaning Ramps
(Time: 4-6 Hours)

All Ramps are removed from upper & lower parts of the playfield. each ramp is being stripped to single components. all screws, bulbs, switches & wire harness are removed and cleaned separately. ramps on the playfield underside are also being removed and cleaned. all plastic parts are manually cleaned with Novus 2 then polished with Novus 1.

Playfield Reassembly
(Time: 8-10 Hours)

probably the most tedious part of the process. I start by replacing light bulbs, then reassemble ball guides and other metal parts and bumpers. next in line are plastic and metal posts followed by plastic decals and finally large assy's such as ramps and other ball assy's. in addition a I replace all rubber with new.

the process is actually building the playfield from scratch but it is the only way of bringing back a new look to the game.

Reassembly

Cleaning & Fixing Flipper Assemblies
(Time: 2 Hours)

Flippers are the heart of the game. a game can look great but if one of the flippers is not working properly then game play and fun are damaged severely.

All Flipper assemblies are removed from the game, cleaned, fixed then reassembled. damaged or broken parts are replaced with new imported from United States.

There is nothing like playing a game with brand new Flippers!

Clean \ Replace Bulbs

Lots of bulbs inside these machines. all bulbs are dismantled from the game and cleaned. burnt bulbs are replaced with new.

tedious work but really puts out great results.

all lenses are cleaned with alcohol to remove years of grim and black dust. the end result is great and brings back the shine to a playfield, a must in restoring a game

Replacing balls

I replace all pin balls with new ones. reason is very simple yet important. pin ball is the one part that is always in contact with the playfield and metal parts on it. with time balls get scratched from hitting other balls or metal objects. these small dents accumulate dirt & rust and are the main reason of playfield wear. new balls gives a new look and preserve the playfield.

Cleaning Cabinet Internal\External
(Time: 5 Hours)

Games accumulate a lot of dirt and dust from years of neglect. old chewing gums attached to weird places, stains of soft drinks, grease and much more.

Cabinet is being internally cleaned with vacuum cleaner and brush and externally polished and waxed. all rusty places are cleaned and new charts are installed if missing.

The whole cabinet is being touched up if needed to cover scratches and dents. Original color used.

Coin Door is disassembled. All components are manually cleaned. coin mechanism is tested.

Door is cleaned from dirt and rust then repainted.

Cleaning Back Box

Back glass art work is removed and cleaned. glass is cleaned with windex. all boards, wiring harness, bulbs and more are cleaned from dirt.

Cleaning \ Painting Legs
(Time: 1 Hour)

Removing rust from legs then polish them to restore a new look. painted legs are being stripped from color, rust removed and repainted with same color. untreatable legs are being replaced.

Replacing Leg Levelers

This is usually the most rusted part in a pinball machine. most games I restored still had their original leg levelers which suffered years of being dragged over floors and are usually broken.

I replace all leg levelers with new ones. it adds a lot to the game's general view and do not scratch the floor

Installing Remote Battery Holder
(Time: 1 Hour)

All pinball machines since 1977 use 3AA batteries to hold game adjustments and high score list. Original position of the batteries on the CPU board created a potential problem in case batteries start to leak. situation like this can damage electronic components on the boards which are very expensive and sometimes irreplaceable.

To eliminate this problem I remove the original holder from the CPU board and install a remote battery holder on the far side of the back box away from any board. This eliminates any possibility of battery leakage over the precious boards.

Check\Repair Electronics

All electronic boards in the game are being thoroughly tested. burnt, defected or old parts are being replaced. all fuses in the game are being checked and replaced if necessary.

All coils and solenoids are being tested and replaced if not working.
